Rain Forest Research Institute (RFRI), Jorhat.

Walk-in-interview for the following positions purely on contractual basis will be organised by RFRI, Jorhat under the project entitled “Identification of Drivers of Deforestation” funded by Meghalaya Basin Management Agency.

1. Junior Project Fellow
No of posts: 5 posts
Educational Qualification: First Class M.Sc./M.A. in life science/Forestry/Botany/ Environmental Science/Agriculture/Ecology/Sociology. Task will involve extensive travel to rural Meghalaya and data collection, analysis and compilation. Candidates with knowledge of local languages, basic statistics and computer application will be preferred.

Monthly Stipend: Rs. 16,000/- + HRA;
Duration: 6 months (extendable as per the requirement).

2. Field Assistant
No of posts: 6 posts
Educational Qualification: Higher secondary (10+2) in Science. Task will involve extensive travel to rural Meghalaya and data collection. Candidates with knowledge of local languages and basic computer application will be preferred. 

Monthly Stipend: Rs. 8,000/-;
Duration: 6 months.

Age : Upper age limit is 28 years as on 06/04/2018, which is relaxable as per Govt, of India rules. Candidates having working experience as Green volunteers will be preferred.
